New Mobile App Allows You to Send Files of Any Type and Size

An article I wrote for Electronic Products.

With ProxToMe, you can send files to numerous people within seconds

On the go and want to send your co-workers that new design you’ve been working on?  With ProxToMe, a new app for iOS users, you can send everything from pictures to presentations and videos to as many co-workers and friends as you’d like, all within seconds.

Electronically sending a large file takes minutes to send, but with ProxToMe, the process is anything but complicated.

The idea behind the app is to tear down the barriers that prevent real-time interaction with those around you. ProxToMe allows you to send files of any type and size to anyone within 250 feet, as long as they’ve downloaded the app as well, and, quite surprisingly, it doesn’t matter if you know your recipients or not. For your privacy, contact information isn’t required. Think of ProxToMe in this way as delivering handouts, just without the paper. By allowing users to discover each other, sharing digital content cloud-to-cloud is simple and beneficial to both the sender and receiver.

Files don’t begin transferring until you accept them, so you don’t have to worry about receiving digital content you aren’t interested in. You’re also able to block users if they send you files you’d rather not have.

How ProxToMe Works

ProxToMe implements a proprietary proximity engine that allows it to detect other users of the app in the area. To connect with others, the app uses Bluetooth connectivity, along with cloud storage of data.

No matter if you want to share digital content with one person or hundreds of people at once, you can do so in seconds with ProxToMe, and unlike other apps that require shaking or bumping mobile devices to transfer data, this app allows you to share what you want with one person or a number of people by tapping a button (and remain anonymous, if you prefer). With ProxToMe, the possibilities are endless.

To function, ProxToMe requires iOS 5.0 or later.

I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one these days.

Thank you! I really appreciate that. 🙂 The layout is a theme from WordPress, unpaid.
