Pictures from a European Adventure

There’s so much out there in the world, more than one could ever imagine. There are so many different ways of life that are lived everyday; so much breathtaking natural beauty; so much to explore and learn from. Below are some pictures from my first time traveling outside of the States that are from Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Italy in December 2010 and January 2011. I’m getting the traveling itch, so posting these pictures (it’s about time!) is soothing. Feel free to suggest your favorite European city in the comments! I’d love to know. Ciao!

I’ll be visiting two of the cities you mentioned soon. I’m excited! Love your hat, by the way. =)

Thanks! That winter was a harsh one when I visited, and that hat did a job well done keeping my head warm! It’s so exciting to visit a foreign city for the first time. You’ll have a great time that you’ll never forget.

Lovely pictures, and glad to see you’ve had the chance to visit some of the most charming cities I know.

Suggestions on what else to see, but what is often overlooked for the “big hits” such as Paris, Rome, Moscow, London &c.:

    – Bellinzona, Switzerland, where italian flair is married to the noble austerity of not one, but several enormous medieval castles spanning across the town ( https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castelgrande_%28Bellinzona%29#/media/File:Castelgrande_Bellinzona.JPG )

    – Riga, the astonishingly beautiful capital of Latvia ( http://www.ft.lt/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Muzieju-naktis-Rygoje-2.jpg ).

    – Tallinn, the capital of baltic neighbour Estonia, differently beautiful ( http://kalden.home.xs4all.nl/verm/images/tallinn-air-4_AAl.jpg )

    – St. Petersburg, the majestic city of the czars ( http://mladiinfo.me/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/st-peter.jpg ) and home to many treasures, from the Hermitage to Peterhoff ( https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/PeterhofGrandCascade.JPG )
