Change of Seasons, the Ability to Read, and Phones

The tilt of the Earth’s rotational axis brings about three glamorous seasons (and one bitch of a season); reading is crazy and connects our human selves — seriously, understanding a bunch of weird-figured symbols is nuts; and phones — you wouldn’t be a modern-day human without one — and face it, it’s pretty much an extra body part now that entertains you and rescues you from awkward situations.

Three Things That Make Fall My Second Favorite Season

For me, there’s nothing like wearing a pair of colorful shorts, a bright tank top, and comfy flip flops while spending the long days beneath the shining sun. Maybe drink some fresh-squeezed lemonade after taking a walk along the ocean, collecting seashells, then winding down at a backyard barbecue, followed by roasting marshmallows around a firepit beneath the glistening stars.

But it’s time to let those summer dreams go because today marks the first day of my second favorite season on our pretty earth: fall. Or autumn, as some of you may like to refer to it as. First of all, let me just say that I’m a fall baby — I trickled down to Earth like a leaf in November — it’s embedded within who I am.
